Shared Health Services has been providing wound care and hyperbaric medicine programs for our hospital and physician practice partners for over two decades. Our ability to maintain long-lasting relationships makes us unique in the wound care industry. In fact, some of our existing contracts date back to the mid-1990s.
We are a family owned and operated business that takes great pride in providing a profitable and evidence-based service for our partners nationally.
David Davis is our President and CEO. He is a former United States Congressman and has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has performed several important roles from managing numerous Respiratory Care Departments throughout the south-eastern U.S. to starting and managing a very successful multi-state home medical equipment company, Advanced Home Care, in 1986. David also served as a Joint Commission surveyor. He founded Shared Health Services in 1996.
As the company has grown, David's adult children, Matthew and Rachel, have joined the organization as part of the leadership team. Matthew, the eldest, is Shared Health Services' Vice-President of Administration and Corporate Development and oversees the day-to-day operations at the corporate office. Rachel, an RN and Certified Hyperbaric Program Director with an MBA, is our Vice-President of Safety & Compliance. She is in charge of the daily operations of our wound treatment and hyperbaric medicine programs and she isn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and provide direct one-on-one patient care.

Initially, our organization's roots grew from helping a family member (a diabetic grandmother and great-grandmother) with a chronic, non-healing wound to avoid amputation. Subsequently, David's father, and Matthew and Rachel's grandfather, developed osteomyelitis (a bone infection) and a chronic, non-healing wound. Both relatives, when they passed, had both feet and all ten toes. Good wound care and appropriate hyperbaric oxygen therapy really works!
